Dwayne Vaz, the Member of Parliament for Westmoreland Central, has resigned as Deputy Opposition Spokesperson for Roads and Works.

A statement from the People’s National Party said Mr Vaz indicated that he wants to give greater attention to his responsibilities in the constituency.

Mr Vaz captured the Westmoreland Central seat in the September 3 general election last year, defeating the Jamaica Labour Party’s George Wright.
