Finance Ministry to answer Police Federation on JCF wage concerns by June 17

1 min read

The Jamaica Police Federation is expected to receive the Finance Ministry’s position on unresolved pay matters in one week.

The federation and the ministry met yesterday for further discussions on wage concerns affecting members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

According to a ministry statement, the talks were meaningful and useful, but both sides accepted that additional discussions are needed to address the remaining points carefully and responsibly.

The ministry said it would review the significant work done by the JCF as set out in the technical framework agreement. A formal response is to be sent to the federation on June 17.
