KINGSTON, Jamaica — Rising dancehall performer Dyum has put out his first full-length project, Voice Inside. Industry commentators have described the set as strong and capable of climbing the charts.
Dyum said he gave the recording everything he had and expects a solid reception.
"I am a firm believer in manifestation so I am speaking it into being, my album will be an international chart topper. It’s a solid body of work and we doing the groundwork to make it happen. I am definitely excited about it" Dyum stated.
The artiste, who hails from St Ann, is drawing heavy attention across social platforms and mainstream outlets, while his songs are also catching on among listeners on the ground. Portland Gyal, his newest single and the album’s second cut, has already sparked interest; reaction to the video teaser has left supporters waiting for the clip, which is due within days.
"Portland Gyal is a catchy and fun track that has a relatable type of relationship story which I believe will resonate well with local and international fans. The beat has a melting pot of sounds that captivates the ear and the overall production is solid because we placed emphasis on delivering quality work. Me just want unu lend me unu ears and believe me unu nah guh regret it yuh zimmie" Dyum stated.
For now, Dyum is splitting time between Jamaica and the United States as he works to widen his following and keep heat under Voice Inside.
