Hanover, Jamaica: Woman Dies in Hanover Crash – A 75-year-old woman died following a motor vehicle collision on the Copse main road on Friday, police have confirmed.
The deceased has been identified as Sonia Frater, a resident of Hanover.
Reports indicate that about 10:00 a.m., Frater was travelling in a Toyota Fortuner with a man believed to be her husband, who was driving the vehicle, when the SUV reportedly crashed into a tree along the roadway.
Both occupants sustained injuries in the impact and were taken to hospital for treatment. Frater later succumbed to her injuries while undergoing medical care.
The condition of the male driver has not been disclosed.
The incident is currently under investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.
Police have not released any additional details regarding the crash.
