D'Yani Set to Drop Reggae-Driven Album in August

Reggae and dancehall singer D'Yani is preparing to release a new album in August, and the Jamaican artiste says listeners can expect a sound that strays from his usual lane.
He shared the news with members of the press on Sunday at Reggae in the Gardens, the closing show of Barbados Reggae Weekend.
"The new album is a little bit diverse from what I normally do. It's reggae music completely through and through, ska, reggae one drop, normally I am a dancehall [artiste] probably a little bit of R&B, but this is more Live a Little type of vibes," D'Yani told reporters.
Asked which song from his existing catalogue stood out as a personal favourite, the Ride It singer declined to single out any one track. "I love all my songs…the D'Yani catalogue," he said.
The artiste described himself as eager for fans to hear the forthcoming project, calling it a release that has been years in the making.
"I'm really looking forward to it and you hearing it. This album took about eight years. I've been making music from high school, and some of the songs are eight years old, older than my music career," he said.
D'Yani closed by thanking those who have stood behind him. "I am just really grateful to be doing what I am doing, and I am thankful for every single person who is supporting," he said.
