Flippa Mafia Ordered to Remain in Custody After Court Hearing

Flippa Mafia will continue to serve time in custody for the moment, following proceedings in court earlier today.

The dancehall artiste, recognised for songs such as Unfinished House, has moved through the justice system for years since convictions on drug trafficking and money laundering. He was once widely branded the “Flossing King.” In his prime he gained ground in the genre through bold live sets, vigorous performances, and a outsized public image that sometimes saw him distribute cash to patrons while on stage.

He received his first sentence over conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, together with money laundering counts. Authorities released him on parole from state prison in 2022 after he had completed nine years of a 25-year term.

When he put out new music in 2025, including Benz Pon Benz and Inna Mi Zone, observers treated the releases as the opening of a professional comeback.
