NWA Working to Restore Dunrobin Avenue Traffic Signal Damaged in Sunday Crash

Drivers passing through the Dunrobin Avenue and Lindsay Crescent junction in St Andrew are being asked to take extra care while the traffic signal at the location remains out of service, the National Works Agency (NWA) has announced.

According to the agency, the disruption stems from a motor vehicle collision on Sunday that damaged both the signal's controller unit and a number of connected cables.

The NWA indicated that crews have already been deployed to swap out the broken components, with testing of the system set to get under way on Monday. Work on the affected cabling is also in progress.

Full repairs are expected to wrap up by Tuesday afternoon, after which the lights at the intersection will be brought back into operation.

In the meantime, the agency is reminding road users that no driver holds right of way while the signal is down, and that vehicles should only move through the junction when it is clearly safe to do so.
