Podium finishes for Distin and Robinson at international meet in Finland
Jumpers Lamara Distin and Nia Robinson were the only Jamaicans with podium finishes at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland on Wednesday.
Distin scaled 1.94 metres for second behind winner Yuliia Levchenko, 1.94 metres in the women's high jump.
Robinson leapt a season's best 6.61 metres for third in the women's long jump, which went to Monae Nichols who cut the sand at 6.88 metres. The other Jamaican in the event, Ackelia Smith, was 6th with a jump of 6.53 metres.
