Red Force build 278-run advantage over Harpy Eagles in CWI final

Trinidad and Tobago Red Force moved into a strong position against defending champions Guyana Harpy Eagles on the third day of the CWI Regional 4-Day Championship final at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua and Barbuda.

After starting their second innings when play resumed, Red Force reached stumps on 265 for eight, stretching their overall advantage to 278 runs heading into the final day.

Evin Lewis carried the innings for Trinidad and Tobago, finishing unbeaten on 122. The opener’s knock, reported as his second first-class century, featured 16 boundaries and two sixes.

Lewis also helped steady the innings through a 101-run partnership for the third wicket with Jason Mohammed, who contributed 37. Amir Jangoo added further support with 48.

Guyana Harpy Eagles kept taking wickets despite the growing deficit. Veerasammy Permaul claimed three for 13, Keemo Paul picked up three for 47, and Shamar Joseph ended with two for 86.

The match scores so far are Trinidad and Tobago Red Force 260 and 265 for eight, with Guyana Harpy Eagles having made 247 in their first innings.
