Faulkland seek second JFF Tier 2 playoff win at Jarrett Park
Faulkland return to JFF Tier 2 playoff duty on Sunday aiming to make it two wins from two when they welcome Coopers Pen to Jarrett Park for a Group D contest.
The former Premier League hopefuls opened their campaign on Wednesday with a 3-0 victory over Russia, a result that placed them at the top of the group on goal difference. Coopers Pen enter the fixture needing a response after starting with a 2-1 defeat to Lucy United.
Ahead of the next assignment, Faulkland’s focus is on remaining productive in attack while tightening up defensively. The team’s stated aim is to get back on the scoresheet and, at the same time, prevent the opposition from scoring.
The other Group D match will see Lucy travel to face Russia at the Landale Sports Complex.
Several other playoff fixtures are also set for Sunday. In Group C, Vineyard FC will host Cross United at the Vineyard Community Center. Group B action sends King’s Football Academy to the Westmoreland Oval, where they will meet Axum FC.
In Group A, York United are scheduled to take on Brown’s Town FC at the York Sports Club. All listed matches are down to begin at 3:30 p.m.
