FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SAVE THE DATE : CARICOM COMPETITION COMMISSION WEEK OF ACTIVITIES 20 - 23 JULY 2026 Paramaribo, 6 th JULY 202 6 - The CARICOM Competition Commission (CCC) is proud to announce its Inaugural Competition and Consumer Welfare Conferenc e , to be held virtually from 20 – 23 July 202 6 . The conference will bring together leading international experts, competition authorities, consumer agencies, policymakers, regulators, academics, and practitioners to discuss emerging issues in competition law and policy, consumer protection, digital markets, market enforcement, and regional cooperation. The first three days of the conference will feature presentations and panel discussions on a range of contemporary competition and consumer welfare topics. Thursday , 2 3 July 2026 , will be dedicated to a special programme for sector regulators, focusing on the interface between regulation, competition, and consumer protection. DAY 1 – DIGITAL MARKETS, AI & CROSS - BORDER ENFORCEMENT ( 20 JULY 2026 ) DAY 2 – COMPETITION ENFORCEMENT TOOLS (21 JULY 2026) DAY 3 – INDUSTRIAL POLICY, COMPETITIVE NEUTRALITY & CONSUMER WELFARE (22 JULY 2026) DAY 4 – REGULATORY ENFORCEMENT & MARKET ANALYSIS (23 JULY 2026) The conference forms part of the CCC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening competition policy and consumer welfare across the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) by facilitating knowledge sharing and fostering collaboration with regional and international partners. The event will be held virtually, making it accessible to participants throughout the Caribbean and beyond. Registration details and the virtual meeting link will be announced shortly.
