CLARENDON, Jamaica : Clarendon Double Murder — Police in Clarendon are investigating the deaths of two men whose charred remains were discovered inside a burnt-out motor vehicle in Bull Head Mountain, Reckford, during the early hours of Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old farmer Daniel Thomas and 22-year-old Tyrone Thompson, otherwise called “Baba.” Both men were residents of Good Hope district in the parish.
According to police reports, at approximately 2:15 a.m., the burnt-out remains of a grey Nissan Caravan were discovered with the bodies of the two men inside.
Investigators reported that the vehicle bore what appeared to be gunshot damage to the front passenger door and the rear left sliding door, raising suspicion that the men may have been shot before the vehicle was set ablaze. However, police have not yet confirmed the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The bodies were removed from the scene and taken to hospital, where both men were pronounced dead.
Detectives are continuing their investigations to determine the motive behind the killings and identify those responsible.
