Samsung unveils the new Galaxy Z series, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9

Samsung Electronics has now introduced a new generation of Galaxy devices designed to make artificial intelligence more useful in everyday life.

 At Galaxy Unpacked 2026, the company unveiled the new Galaxy Z series—including the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8—alongside the new Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, expanding an ecosystem where smartphones and wearables work seamlessly together to deliver smarter, more personalised and secure experiences.

The new Galaxy Z lineup represents Samsung’s most comprehensive foldable portfolio to date. The Galaxy Z Fold8introduces a completely redesigned form factor, offering a more natural way to browse content, read, game and work. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra brings the Ultra experience to the foldable category with a large immersive display for productivity, an advanced camera system and powerful content creation capabilities. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip8combines a slimmer design with a redesigned FlexWindow powered by Galaxy AI to deliver a more intuitive and personalised user experience.

Across the entire lineup, the latest generation of Galaxy AI delivers experiences optimised for each device. From contextual recommendations and intelligent task automation to productivity and creativity features developed in collaboration with Google Gemini, AI is integrated more naturally into the mobile experience. All of this is protected by Samsung Knox and enhanced privacy features designed to give users greater control over their personal data.

Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, two smartwatches designed to transform biometric data into practical wellness insights. Powered by the new Snapdragon Wear® Elite platform, larger batteries and the brightest displays ever on a Galaxy Watch, both devices feature AI-powered health capabilities including advanced sleep tracking, vital signs monitoring, cardiovascular insights, recovery analysis and fitness coaching, providing users with a more complete understanding of their overall health.

Designed for outdoor enthusiasts and high-performance athletes, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 introduces specialised features for activities such as trail running and diving. The Galaxy Watch9, meanwhile, is built for everyday wellness with a lightweight, comfortable design that supports users throughout the day while encouraging healthier habits through personalised insights and guidance.
