Shenseea wins ASCAP Pop Music Award for Shake It To The Max remix

Shenseea has earned an ASCAP Pop Music Award for her songwriting contribution to the remix of Ghanaian singer Mz Malez's "Shake It To The Max", a track that also includes Skillibeng and Silent Addy.

The recognition placed the remix among the pop songs with the strongest performance activity in 2025. ASCAP's 2026 awards programme honoured leading songwriters and composers through several ceremonies held in late April 2026.

In other music business news, Stefflon Don has reportedly sold her music catalogue from before 2024 to HarbourView Equity Partners. The transaction is said to be worth 8 million euros and covers both publishing and recorded-music rights tied to several of her better-known songs.

The catalogue includes "16 Shots", "Hurtin' Me", "Bossy", "Senseless" and "Can't Let You Go". Music data firm Luminate reported that her catalogue has accumulated more than 673 million official on-demand streams.

Vybz Kartel also marked a strong showing at the IRAWMA awards, where he emerged as the biggest winner of the night with seven trophies. The dancehall artiste shared his reaction online and thanked the organisers, saying, "Big respect to IRAWMA for continuing to celebrate and preserve our culture."

Pink is also set to receive a major songwriting honour after being named songwriter icon by the National Music Publishers Association. The organisation's president and chief executive said Pink's writing has a distinctive voice and that her catalogue "embodies authenticity and depth."

Pink's career includes four Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles and three number-one albums on the Billboard 200. She has also won three Grammys, two Brit Awards, a Daytime Emmy and seven MTV Video Music Awards. The NMPA will present the award at its annual meeting next month in New York City.
