Friday Night Bookish Lyme Opens Book Fairy Festival at UWI Headquarters

On Friday, literature enthusiasts turned out for the live staging of Friday Night Bookish Lyme (FNBL), the opening programme for the Book Fairy Festival. Founder and curator Shanique 'Shanz the Book Fairy' Sinclair hosted the event.

The gathering was held at The University of the West Indies (UWI) Regional Headquarters. Among those present were featured authors scheduled to appear across the three-day festival, along with a live conversation featuring award-winning journalist, professor and author Nicole Carr on her book, The Price of Exclusion: The Pursuit of Healthcare in a Segregated Nation.

The book club evening offered a preview of the festival weekend ahead, framed around the theme 'Lost in Wonderland'.
