G33ZZ sets June 30 premiere for debut album 33 State
Steven “G33ZZ” Reid is preparing to introduce his range as a recording artiste and push back against repetitive sounds with the arrival of his first full-length project, 33 State, set to premiere on June 30.
The 13-song set was largely shaped by his brother Michael “Slone Music” Reid, who handled production on most of the material, while Inziman Productions produced My Everything. Wavestate Entertainment is backing the release.
For G33ZZ, the name 33 State carries weight beyond the music itself. He describes it as a way of thinking and a personal outlook built around growth, purpose, and striving toward one’s fullest capacity.
“In numerology, 33 is said to be the highest of the master numbers; they call it the ‘master teacher. It represents the ultimate alignment of intuition, spiritual insight, and the State means this isn’t just music; it’s a mindset and just a state of being where you are fully locked into your highest potential,” the entertainer said.
As he moves through themes meant to connect with listeners across different preferences, G33ZZ brought in Craigy T, Slone, Elevate, Maxxjetblac, Dominique, Sherieta Lewis, and Tessa as featured voices on the album.
The record was built to mirror his adaptability as an artiste, resisting the idea of being boxed into a single style or category.
“This album is basically to showcase my creativity and versatility. It’s not structured to a specific style or genre, there’s a variety of moods and sounds on the album. There’s something for everyone to listen to and everyone will have a favorite song based on preference,” the entertainer continued.
Though every track matters to him, G33ZZ singled out the album opener, Chasing, as among the most intimate entries on the project.
“If I had to choose one it would be track one— Chasing— because it’s very personal and really a reality check. It’s basically me subconsciously telling myself to remember what the fight is for, remember what it’s costing you, and don’t let the chase change who I am,” he shared.
Looking back on the path that led to this moment, G33ZZ called the process demanding yet fulfilling.
“The journey has been a roller coaster but I’m grateful for every opportunity and everything I’ve achieved. It’s a lot of hard work and most times I’m dealing with people who don’t get the vision at first, but seeing the fanbase grow organically makes it worth it,” he continued.
He said he intends to build his own path instead of chasing passing trends.
“I’m not here trying to fit in or make regular music for the hype or quick streams. That’s boring. Honestly, I want when you finish listening to 33 State it leaves a mark and people realize they don’t have to settle for the everyday music that all sounds the same,” G33ZZ said.
Promotion for the album has already included music videos for Chasing and Gwan Bad, both filmed by Divine Global, who also worked on earlier clips for Tattoo and Wave State.
G33ZZ identified Wave State as a turning point in his career to date. What he expected to be an ordinary drop expanded into a worldwide response, drawing interest from supporters and dancers across the globe.
“Everything that happened with Wave State — that’s the biggest thing I’ve done so far. Initially, I thought it would be like a regular release but it went global before I even realized what was happening. Seeing how people reacted to it, all the dancers dancing to the sound, even Stephen Di Genius had to ask who’s the artiste,” he said.
Listeners can access 33 State through Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack, and other digital platforms, with Bandcamp also offered for fans who wish to support the artiste directly.
Ahead of the launch, G33ZZ urged audiences to hear the work without fixed expectations.
“Forget what you think you know about how a debut album should sound. I didn’t make this to compare or compete with anyone else, this is to prove that G33ZZ is and will be a standout artist, so tune in, read between the lyrics, and welcome to the master teacher era. Welcome to 33 State ,” he added.
