1 min readSt. Andrew

Podcaster Jaii Frais and music producer Jahvy Ambassador are due back before the courts later in 2026, more than two months after a shooting disrupted the Big Wall Carnival after-party. Both men were in the Gun Court on Thursday and had their bail continued. A plea and case management hearing is now fixed for October 28.

Frais, whose legal name is Jhaedee Richards, faces counts of wounding with intent, shooting with intent, and possession of a prohibited weapon. Ambassador, legally known as Jahvel Morrison, is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, wounding with intent, and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.

The allegations arise from gunfire at the Big Wall entertainment event on April 12 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew, where three persons were shot. Police say a fight among patrons began around 9:30 p.m. and then turned into an exchange of shots between two people. Three individuals suffered gunshot injuries and were taken to hospital.

Richards was among the wounded. Police said he received treatment and was then released into custody. Another injured person was still in hospital at the time. Investigators reported recovering two firearms linked to the episode. Morrison was later arrested.

Attorneys Isat Buchanan and D'ondre Buchanan appear for Richards. King's Counsel Peter Champagnie, with attorneys Sayeed Bernard and Richard Lynch, appear for Morrison.
