USF earmarks Haughton Court, Salt Spring and Llandilo for free Wi-Fi after Connec’ Di West tour
Three communities in western Jamaica have been named for upcoming free Wi-Fi service by the Universal Service Fund (USF), after the agency’s Connec’ Di West Road Tour.
Haughton Court in Hanover, Salt Spring in St. James, and Llandilo in Westmoreland made the list. Residents put forward petitions during the tour, and those appeals guided the selection.
USF technicians will visit each community to decide where the Wi-Fi hotspots should go. The programme is meant to widen internet access and strengthen connectivity in areas that remain underserved.
