
Health Ministry Starts $500m C.A.R.E. Fund for Community Wellness
The Ministry of Health and Wellness this morning introduced the Community Arranged Response Effort (C.A.R.E.) Fund, a $500 million programme tied to its wider health policy priorities.
The initiative is designed to respond to social conditions that affect health, while giving families and communities a stronger part in preventing illness and encouraging wellness. It is to run for two years.
At the launch, Dr. Kimorley Humphrey, Principal Director for the Enabling Environment in Health and Client Services, said the C.A.R.E. Fund is intended to help drive prevention, better lifestyle choices and related health goals.
