Heart College of Innovation details technology courses and City and Guilds pathways
Keda Reed, head of programmes at the Heart College of Innovation and Technology (HCIT), says the school runs a broad slate of courses aimed mainly at technology careers, alongside training in administration and events.
Reed told the outlet that HCIT delivers programmes in network administration, system administration, network engineering, and network security management. The college has also launched newer tracks, including mobile robotics, digital animation and network technology, and software programming.
Outside the core technical portfolio, Reed said HCIT still serves clients who need skills in training and assessment, events planning and management, and records and information management. Those courses are not technical in nature, she noted, but form part of the college’s wider offering.
Reed also highlighted HCIT’s standing as an approved regulatory centre for City and Guilds. Under that arrangement, the institution runs existing qualifications and is reviewing additional options. Programmes already in scope include cabling and IT system support. Reed said assured programmes cover ICT proficiency, train-the-trainers work in robotics for children, and an introduction to artificial intelligence for educators.
Taken together, Reed’s account points to HCIT positioning itself as both a technology training hub and a gateway for internationally recognised City and Guilds credentials, with further qualifications under consideration.
