Robert McLaughlin pursues software programming at HEART after gaming sparks IT path
Robert McLaughlin is training in Level 3 software programming at HEART College of Innovation and Technology, an institution he credits with channelling a long-standing interest in technology into structured skills.
McLaughlin said his enthusiasm for gaming took hold in grade 11, when he wanted to understand how games work and how interactive experiences are created. That curiosity pushed him toward information technology studies before he advanced into the college’s software programming programme.
He now aims to build an application once he finishes the course and to keep developing his technical abilities in the years ahead.
McLaughlin outlined his academic journey in remarks shared on 18 May 2026.
