Dream Wknd Creating Opportunities For MSMEs

The organisers of Dream Weekend are playing an increasingly important role in driving economic growth by creating opportunities for businesses, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

This, with the introduction of its partnership with taxi operators as well as partnering with the community to provide Air BnB services for patrons.

It comes as concerns were raised about the availability of hotel rooms in Montego Bay, following the passage of hurricane Melissa last year. Some hotels had indicated that they would not be ready for business until the latter part of 2026.

Now in its 17th year, Dream Weekend will be held in Montego Bay for the first time after 16 successful years in Negril. The festival will feature eight events over five days and is expected to generate significant economic activity throughout western Jamaica.
