EdgeChem brings global expertise to Jamaican painters through Pentrilo Masters Workshop

EdgeChem partnered with Pentrilo to host the Pentrilo Masters World Tour 2026 – Jamaica, an immersive, hands-on workshop designed to elevate professional painting standards across the island.

Held at the Caymanas Golf Club, the workshop transformed the venue into a live working classroom, where Jamaican painters and contractors trained directly under internationally recognised decorative specialist Juan Carlos Paris. Participants engaged in advanced application techniques, experimented with professional-grade tools, and refined finishes through real-world, practical exercises. Attendees worked hands-on with multi-layer finishes, precision taping, high-performance roller systems, and decorative plaster techniques, building both technical skill and practical confidence. Each participant also received a Pentri Box consisting of a wide array of painting tools and equipment, ensuring that learning could continue well beyond the day’s session.

For many contractors, the workshop delivered rare access to international-level training without leaving the island. As demand rises locally for higher-quality residential and commercial finishes, initiatives like this play a crucial role in keeping Jamaican professionals competitive and aligned with global standards. Melissa McHargh, Chief Operating Officer at EdgeChem Jamaica Limited, noted that the engagement level reflected a clear appetite for improvement across the industry and demonstrated how innovative tools and techniques can improve efficiency, reduce fatigue, and elevate finish quality.
