
An elderly bearer who reportedly left a bank with lots of cash was robbed then shot dead by armed men on a motorcycle in Half-Way Tree, St. Andrew today.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
The incident took place at about 1:30 P.M. in the vicinity of the Bank of Nova Scotia.
Commanding Officer for the St. Andrew Central Police Superintendent Mark Harris said investigators are following strong leads in the case.
Superintendent Harris again appealed for business operators to contact the police and request an escort when moving large amounts of cash.
