Giovanni Dennis appointed CEO of JIS
Broadcast journalist Giovanni Dennis, on Monday took up his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Information Service (JIS).
Mr. Dennis, who is a former Television Jamaica reporter and award-winning journalist, has served in media for over 14 years.
He was named Journalist of the Year in 2022 and 2024 by the Press Association of Jamaica.
His appointment comes after the government agency had been without a CEO for roughly 17 months, after former head Enthrose Campbell retired on December 31, 2024.
Celia Lindsay served as the acting CEO during the vacancy.
