ST. CATHERINE, Jamaica: JCF Mourn Constable Shanki Gordon — The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is mourning the loss of one of its members following a fatal motor vehicle collision along the Ewarton Main Road in St. Catherine on Monday, June 1.
The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Constable Shanki Gordon, who was attached to the St. Catherine North Police Division.
According to reports, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Constable Gordon was travelling north along the roadway on a Honda motorcycle when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with a parked white Honda Fit.
The policeman sustained multiple injuries in the crash and was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
In a statement, the JCF High Command expressed its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Constable Gordon during this difficult time.
The JCF also noted that its Chaplaincy Services Branch, Medical Services Branch, and Welfare Department are providing support to the late officer’s family members and fellow colleagues as they cope with the tragic loss.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing.
