Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, was convicted in 2014 in the murder case involving Clive “Lizard” Williams.
The conviction was overturned by the UK’s Privy Council in March 2024, and the deejay was later released after consistently maintaining his innocence throughout the legal battle.
Now, nearly two years after regaining his freedom, Vybz Kartel is focused on the stage once again.
On July 18, the dancehall artiste will share the Reggae Sumfest stage with Mavado, marking a highly anticipated reunion between the two stars, whose legendary Sting 2008 clash remains one of the most iconic moments in dancehall history.
