
P M Holness: new Troy bridge represents restoration of connection & dignity
Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says the newly rebuilt Troy bridge represents a restoration of connection and dignity to residents.
The old bridge was damaged during Tropical Storm Grace in 2021 which adversely impacted residents, especially students.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony for the new bridge today, Dr. Holness assured that the structure will last for years to come.
Dr. Holness said the new bridge symbolizes that the government has not abandoned rural Jamaicans.
He explained that efforts are being made to integrate rural communities into the fabric of the economy.
