TAJ restores motor vehicle registration services islandwide

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says the system issue which temporarily disrupted the processing of motor vehicle registration transactions online and at tax offices across the island, was resolved late Monday afternoon.
According to a TAJ news release on Tuesday, customers are now able to process their electronic motor vehicle registration transactions conveniently online via www.jamaicatax.gov.jm or in person at any tax office islandwide.
Additionally, the TAJ said all other motor vehicle-related services have resumed normal operations, allowing customers to complete their transactions without interruptions. This, it said, includes renewal or new motor vehicle registration, transfer of vehicles and the purchase of registration plates.
