

Trelawny Duo Slapped With Firearm Related Charges
Shooting with Intent, Being in Possession of a Firearm with Intent to cause Injury and Possession of Firearm with Intent to Commit a Felony are charges that have been laid against two men following an incident in Hague District, Trelawny, on Saturday, May 16.
Charged are 27-year-old Robert Bailey, otherwise called ‘Active,’ of Belair District, St. Ann, and Hague District, Trelawny; and 28-year-old Odane Gordon, of Speculation District, St. Elizabeth.
Reports from the Falmouth Police are that at about 8:00 p.m., a team of officers responded to an armed robbery in a housing scheme. It was further reported that the officers intercepted a gray Toyota Probox that was believed to be involved in the robbery. The men exited the vehicle and opened fire; equal force was returned by the police. Bailey was apprehended on the scene while Gordon was detained while seeking medical attention. Gordon was arrested after being positively identified during an identification parade.
On June 1, both men were charged with the abovementioned offence; their court dates are being arranged.
