Holness Calls for Productivity Shift as Jamaica Targets Stronger Economic Growth

1 min read

Prime Minister Andrew Holness is asking Jamaicans to place greater emphasis on getting work done well, finding fresh solutions, and operating with sharper efficiency as the country pushes for stronger economic progress.

Speaking at the opening of the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference on Tuesday, Holness said Jamaica already has the assets and capacity to rank among leading nations worldwide. He added, however, that meeting that standard will call for deep changes in national culture, shared values, and everyday attitudes toward work.

The Prime Minister said stronger output and inventive thinking will be central to drawing out Jamaica's full economic strengths and securing prosperity over the long term.
