1 min readSt. James

Prime Minister Dr. the Most Hon. Andrew Holness moved through the marketplace section of the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference on Tuesday, June 16, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St. James.

During the walk-through, he was joined by Speaker of the House of Representatives and wife of the Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Juliet Holness, along with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith. The group stopped at the Island Dolls Plus Collection display, where President of the organisation, Beverly Robotham-Reynalds, presented dolls crafted by the company.

At another stall, Dr. Holness spoke with Honorary Consul of Jamaica to Ghana, Okatakyie Boakye Danquah, and President of the Ghana–Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, Derrick Cobbinah, at the Chamber’s booth. Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister of State, Hon. Alando Terrelonge, was also present for that exchange.

The Prime Minister later accepted a token from President of the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech), Dr. Kevin Brown, at the UTech booth as his marketplace tour continued at the diaspora gathering.
