Catherine’s Peak is the highest point in St. Andrew, Jamaica 🇯🇲, located in the world-famous Blue Mountains of Jamaica in the Caribbean. Rising approximately 5,050 feet (1,539 metres) above sea level, this scenic mountain destination is known for its breathtaking views, cool climate, lush vegetation, and beginner-friendly hiking trail. Named after Catherine Long, wife of former Governor of Jamaica Sir Henry Moore, Catherine’s Peak is believed to have first been climbed by her in 1760. The trail begins near Newcastle, the historic Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) military base nestled in the Blue Mountains, making it one of the most popular hiking and nature attractions in Jamaica for locals and visitors alike.
