1 min readSt. Andrew

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched an inquiry into the death of Horace Williams after he took ill while being held by police at the Duhaney Park Police Station in St Andrew.

Williams, who lived in East Albion, St Thomas, was transferred to the Kingston Public Hospital on July 21 and was pronounced dead at the facility. Police had taken him into custody on July 2 as part of a murder probe, and he remained in detention pending additional court hearings.

An autopsy is anticipated while INDECOM presses ahead with its review of how he died.
