Ribbie Chung Marks 67th Birthday With Industry Celebration At Ribbiz Ultra Lounge

Veteran nightlife operator Brian 'Ribbie' Chung clocked his 67th birthday on Thursday night with a lively gathering at his own Ribbiz Ultra Lounge, drawing close family, longtime friends and key business partners.
The room carried a warm, celebratory mood — a clear sign of the bonds Chung has built across his decades in the entertainment trade. Guests were treated to an evening of music, laughter and tributes that leaned heavily on the personal connections he has nurtured along the way.
A loyal supporter of J. Wray & Nephew, the birthday boy was visibly chuffed to see the company's team turn out in numbers, lending the occasion an added charge.
Delivering remarks on behalf of the brand, Cecil Smith Jr, General Manager, Jamaica, for Campari Group, paid tribute to the host. “Ribbie embodies the spirit of celebration and connection that our brand stands for. He has created spaces where people come together to enjoy life, and we are proud to stand with him as he celebrates this incredible milestone,” Smith said.
“Tonight is not just about a birthday, it's about legacy, impact, and the joy he continues to bring to so many,” he added, drawing cheers from the room.
Widely dubbed 'The Entertainment Boss' within the trade, Chung has spent decades shaping Jamaica's nightlife landscape. His track record includes runs at Cactus Nite Club, Jamrock Sports Bar, 925 Jerk, Asylum and Quad Night Clubs, before he settled into his current flagship, Ribbiz Ultra Lounge.
That consistency, paired with a knack for building venues that pull a crowd, has earned him a place among the most respected names on the local entertainment circuit.
