Sidewalk Construction to be Undertaken Along Hope Road in Kingston

Commencing Wednesday, May 6, 2026, sidewalk construction activities will be undertaken along a section of Hope Road in Kingston. The works which will target the section of roadway between Kings Way and Waterloo Road will continue for one month.
Manager of Communication and Customer Services at National Works Agency (NWA), Stephen Shaw, says that the works are meant to improve pedestrian safety along the corridor. He says that the project, valued at just over $4 million will also include drain cleaning activities as well as pothole patch and repair.
The NWA is advising motorists to exercise caution during the period of the project and to observe the instructions of posted warning signs.
