St. Ann Municipal Corporation and stakeholders ready for safe, successful Sumfest

The St. Ann Municipal Corporation and key stakeholders, have signalled their readiness for a safe and successful staging of Reggae Sumfest 2026.

The annual music festival will be held tomorrow at Plantation Cove, in Priory.

Speaking at a multi-agency meeting at the Corporation on Wednesday, Mayor of St. Ann’s Bay, Michael Belnavis, noted that public safety remains the highest priority, and highlighted the extensive security arrangements that have been implemented for the event.

He said more than 140 members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, supported by over 400 private security personnel engaged by the event organizers, will be deployed.

The St. Ann Municipal Corporation is encouraging patrons to comply with all safety instructions, traffic advisories and directions from security personnel.
