St. James men remanded after admitting Irwin police station motorcycle theft
Two men who admitted stealing motorcycles from the Irwin Police Station in St. James have been remanded until June 17, when their matter is to continue in the parish court.
O'Neil Dennis and Jason Stevenson appeared before Judge Andria Natisha Fairclough-Hilton last Wednesday and pleaded guilty to larceny of a motorcycle. The court was told that two motorcycles stored at the station were discovered missing about 7:00 a.m. on October 3, 2025. Police later found one being ridden by a man who said he had bought it recently, leading investigators to Dennis.
Dennis was taken into custody on April 7 after earlier avoiding arrest on November 12. While under caution, he reportedly said he got the motorcycle from Stevenson. Stevenson later attended the Irwin station on April 15 and allegedly told police that he and Dennis had taken the bikes from the compound the previous year. The judge ordered social inquiry reports for both men.
