Jamaica seeded seventh for CONCACAF Nations League A draw
Jamaica’s senior men’s football team is the seventh seed in League A for the CONCACAF Nations League, which begins in November, with the draw scheduled for Thursday.
Under the Swiss-style format of home-and-away fixtures, the Reggae Boyz are lined up to meet either Costa Rica or Honduras, both drawn from pot one.
Seeded sides will be split into two groups. The top two teams from each group move on to the quarter-finals, where they can expect opposition including the United States, Canada and Panama.
Attention now turns to the regional competition after Jamaica’s exit from contention for the recently concluded FIFA World Cup. In their most recent CONCACAF Nations League appearance, in November 2024, Jamaica lost 5-2 to the United States.
