Dutch coach Joey Jap Tjong has been placed in charge of Chapelton Maroons as head coach and head of coaching education as the Jamaica Premier League side turns its attention to the upcoming season.
Jap Tjong carries international credentials from his previous role leading the Cayman Islands senior men's national team, where he helped deliver the nation's first-ever win in FIFA World Cup qualifying.
Operating from Clarendon, the Maroons have reinforced their technical department by bringing in Arnett Gardens assistant coach Dicoy Williams and announcing several additional appointments as preparations for the new campaign take shape.
The changes reflect Chapelton's intent to establish a sturdier platform for on-field success while investing in the growth of players and coaching personnel.
