A Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus was damaged after a fire started while the vehicle was parked at a terminus in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Thursday.
Preliminary information indicates that smoke and flames were observed coming from the back of the bus earlier in the day. An eyewitness reported that the vehicle had been standing inside the terminus when the fire was noticed.
The blaze left the bus damaged before it was brought under control. Authorities reported no injuries linked to the incident.
The reason for the fire has not yet been determined. Additional information is expected as the investigation continues.
