Kenya opens forensic probe after presidential website cyber disruption

1 min read

Kenyan officials are examining a cyber disruption that struck the country’s official presidential website, and a forensic inquiry is under way to establish how it occurred.

According to the government, cybersecurity teams moved quickly to contain the problem, briefly limiting public access to the site while repairs began. Authorities say they have found no indication that protected information was breached, stolen, or lost, and they maintain that other state digital platforms continue to operate safely.

The ICT Authority is coordinating with other public agencies and outside technical specialists to clarify what led to the incident.
