Kimali Scott is being highlighted as one of the young players who could help answer concerns that Jamaican football has not been developing standout individual talents in recent years.

The 19-year-old striker scored 20 goals for Excelsior during the past schoolboy football season, helping the team secure the Manning Cup title.

Scott then moved into the Jamaica Premier League with former champions Cavalier, where he made another impact in the postseason. He finished as the leading scorer in the playoffs with five goals.

His playoff tally included two goals in the semi-final and another two in the Super Final, adding to the growing attention around his performances.

Beyond the scoring numbers, Scott has been praised for his football intelligence, finishing instincts, attacking effort and defensive work rate.

The commentary framed him as a player with long-term potential, while also expressing hope that he will soon get an opportunity to continue his career overseas.
