MANDEVILLE, Manchester — A female was among three people fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with police in Mandeville on Saturday as investigators intensified efforts to dismantle a criminal network linked to a series of bar robberies.
The deceased have been identified as Lester Morris, Travis Baker, and Sutania Boothe, also known as “Chun Chun.” Police said the trio allegedly engaged officers in a shoot-out on Caledonia Road after being intercepted during an operation. Two firearms were reportedly seized.
Investigators believe the group was involved in robberies targeting poker gaming machines and may also be connected to last month’s multimillion-dollar robbery in Red Bank, St Elizabeth.
Police say investigations are continuing as they pursue other alleged members of the criminal network.
