A3 도로 안내: Kingston Half Way Tree에서 St. Mary Port Maria까지

Kingston의 Half Way Tree 일대에서 St. Mary의 Port Maria까지 A3를 따라가면 약 62킬로미터, 즉 대략 38.5마일이며, 일반적인 도로 상황에서는 약 1시간 37분이 걸린다.

노선은 St. Andrew Half Way Tree 중심부, Half Way Tree Clock Tower 근처에서 시작해 Hagley Park Road를 따라 Eastwood Park Road 방향으로 향한다. Hagley Park Road, Maxfield Avenue, Eastwood Park Road가 만나는 교차로에서 Hagley Park는 Three Miles와 Kingston 시내 쪽으로 이어지고, Maxfield Avenue는 한쪽에 있으며, Eastwood Park Road가 A3로 연결된다. 인근에는 Half Way Tree 교통 센터와 St. Mary행 택시 승강장이 있다.

이후 A3는 Eastwood Park Road를 따라 Constant Spring Road로 이어지며, Constant Spring Police Station을 지나 Manor Park를 통과한다. 왼쪽에 Old Stony Hill Road가 나타난 뒤 도로명은 Long Lane으로 바뀌고, 이어 Stony Hill Road가 되어 Stony Hill과 Stony Hill Square를 지나 Golden Spring으로 계속된다.

더 북쪽으로 가면 A3는 Temple Hall main road와 Junction main road를 따라 Brandon Hill과 Tom’s River를 통과한다. Tom’s River에서 노선은 Broadgate to Tom’s River Road를 따라 St. Andrew에서 St. Mary로 넘어가며, 이 구간도 Junction main road 회랑의 일부다. 이후 Golden Valley와 Castleton을 지나며, Castleton Botanical Gardens와 Castleton Police Station이 이 구간에 있다.

Castleton을 지나면 Friendship Gap, 강을 건너는 Devon Pen, Mason Yard, Broadgate, Georgia Plains 등 일대에 이른다. Scotts Hall Maroon Town 쪽으로 향하는 옆길은 Wagwater River를 건너며, Junction main road가 막혔을 때 Richmond와 Highgate를 거쳐 Port Maria로 가는 우회로로 쓸 수 있다. West Milan Bridge 근처에서는 Highgate, Richmond, Port Maria 쪽으로 진입할 수 있다. Robert Schuman roundabout에서는 한쪽 출구가 Annotto Bay 쪽으로 이어져 Portland Parish의 Orange Bay, Hope Bay, Buff Bay 및 인근으로 들어가고, Port Maria 출구는 A3를 따라 Northern Coastal Highway의 Martin’s 쪽으로 계속되며 다시 Wagwater River를 건넌다.

Orange Hill, Rose End, Water Valley, Albany, Martin’s를 지나며 고속도로는 Martin’s to Ballard’s Valley Road, 이어 Ballard’s Valley to Trinity Road로 이어진다. 옆길은 Highgate, Richmond, Heywood Hall, Georgia Plains 쪽으로 연결된다. Ballard’s Valley 근처의 Buccaneers Jerk Center에는 Nutsford Express Port Maria가 있다.

Trinity와 Port Maria로 들어서면 도로변 표지판이 시내를 알린다. 랜드마크로는 Port Maria Police Station, Port Maria Hospital, Port Maria Clock Tower, 세무서, 우체국, Island Traffic Authority 시험 센터, Port Maria 교통 센터가 있는 Horace Clarke Arcade, Cabarita Island, 법원, Pagee Beach가 있다. Northern Coastal Highway를 계속 가면 Galina, Oracabessa, Boscobel — Ian Fleming International Airport 포함 — 쪽으로 이어지고, 더 나아가 St. Ann의 Ocho Rios로 향한다. 중심가에서 갈라지는 로컬 도로로는 Clements Avenue, Warner Lane, Warner Street가 있다.
