Police probe multiple deaths, airport cash seizure and June fatal shootings

Police from Manchester, St. Elizabeth and St. Ann are jointly investigating after 40-year-old Kadisa Mloud of Allison District, Bombay, Manchester, and 50-year-old Maurice Fenel of Cambridge, St. James, were found dead hours apart. Mloud, who had been reported missing after leaving work Tuesday about 1:11 p.m. in a white blouse, grey sweater, brown pants and white slippers, was discovered in a field at Peppa, St. Elizabeth, about 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Residents said they heard explosions in the area about 4:00 a.m. Wednesday. Fenel, a security guard reportedly in a relationship with her, was found in Brown’s Town, St. Ann, about 6:00 a.m. Thursday with a gunshot wound to the head. Police said his firearm was nearby and that he had been under investigation in relation to the missing woman.

In St. Catherine, detectives are probing the killing of 25-year-old air-conditioning technician Andes Clark, also called Hundred, whose body was found on his bed in Cory Hill, Spanish Town, early Wednesday with what appeared to be several stab wounds.

St. Elizabeth police also found the decomposing body of 64-year-old Alton Channer at Holt District near Santa Cruz on Wednesday. He lived alone, had last been seen Sunday, and investigators reported no sign of foul play pending a post-mortem.

Manchester police have released composite sketches of two men wanted over the June 14, 2025 chopping death of Del CJ Mongol, also called Indian, in Dubson, Kolivville. One suspect has surrendered and is before the court.

In Kingston 6, police arrested a man after allegedly finding a 9mm pistol, two magazines and 13 rounds during a search on Sunday Park Road on June 10.

At Sangster International Airport, business operator Shan Walker, 34, of Crawford District, St. Elizabeth, was charged after authorities said US$270,580 was hidden in 28 sealed boxes of bath soap in his luggage after he arrived from New Jersey on Sunday. He faces Proceeds of Crime Act charges and is due in the St. James Parish Court on June 16.

Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton said mystery patients and unannounced visits will be used to assess service in public health facilities.

INDECOM is seeking help identifying six of seven men killed in police encounters on Tuesday, and one of four men killed Wednesday at Retirement, St. James. The commission said 11 men were killed across five incidents and no body-worn cameras were used.
