
Meghan’s Netflix Lifestyle Series Secures Daytime Emmy Nomination
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is among this year’s Daytime Emmy nominees after her Netflix production With Love, Meghan was recognised.
The former actor, who wed Britain’s Prince Harry in 2018, entered the outstanding lifestyle programme race on Tuesday. Other contenders are A Different Breed, George to the Rescue, The Motherhood and The Wizard of Paws.
Winners will be announced at the 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards, scheduled for October 30 at the Hollywood Palladium.
With Love, Meghan combined features on food preparation, hosting and gardening. Chrissy Teigen and Mindy Kaling were among its celebrity guests, while Prince Harry made a cameo. Netflix released two seasons during 2025, followed by a holiday special.
Writing through her personal Instagram account, Meghan congratulated “the amazing crew, producers, and team who worked on With Love, Meghan... We are nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Series!”
Before becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan was known professionally as Meghan Markle. She appeared in the legal television drama Suits between 2011 and 2018, departing before joining the British royal family through marriage.
CBS topped the overall tally with 48 nominations. Beyond the Gates, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless will compete for daytime drama series.
The lead-actress field comprises Days of Our Lives performer Stacy Haiduk; Beyond the Gates stars Karla Mosley and Tamara Tunie; Michelle Stafford of The Young and the Restless; and The Bold and the Beautiful’s Heather Tom.
Eric Braeden of The Young and the Restless is nominated for lead actor alongside fellow cast member Christian Jules Le Blanc. The category also includes General Hospital’s Steve Burton and The Bold and the Beautiful actors Scott Clifton and Thorsten Kaye.
Programmes selected for daytime talk series are 3rd Hour of Today, The Drew Barrymore Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Live with Kelly and Mark, TODAY with Jenna & Friends and The View.
Kelly Clarkson also received a daytime talk series host nomination. Her rivals include The View personalities Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro, as well as Tamron Hall, Jennifer Hudson and Sherri Shepherd.
Clarkson plans to conclude her programme’s seven-season run this fall. Shepherd’s talk show was cancelled in May after completing four seasons.
Meanwhile, federal regulators have placed ABC’s The View under scrutiny as they seek to revive discussion about whether equal-time regulations apply to the programme.
