Texaco fuel purchases to raise funds for Food For The Poor Jamaica
Food For The Poor (FFTP) has teamed up with Texaco Jamaica for its “Fuel for a Cause” drive, under which the charity will receive 50 cents for each litre of fuel sold at Texaco service stations across the island up to June 19, 2026.
The programme gives drivers a simple way to help Jamaicans who are struggling, by connecting a routine purchase at the pump with support for people and households in need. Money raised will go toward Food For The Poor’s ongoing work in areas such as meals, shelter, schooling, medical care and other essential assistance.
With many families still under financial pressure, the campaign is being presented as an easy route for the public to give back. Food For The Poor, which has long depended on private donors and corporate backing for its relief efforts, says the project shows how modest contributions can add up when many Jamaicans take part.
