A man's body was discovered recently at the Retirement landfill in St James.
Early information suggests he may have been killed around 8:00 am, but the events leading to his death have not yet been established. Workers at the site came upon the body among piles of refuse. The man was wearing a yellow and black shirt.
Police personnel have been sent to the location. The discovery comes while part of the landfill remains ablaze, after a fire started there on Friday. Teams from Western Parks and Market and the Jamaica Fire Brigade have been responding to that blaze.
