Businesses urged to strengthen e-procurement skills for government bids

Businesses seeking government contracts are being reminded that online procurement has changed how bids are submitted, with digital systems now requiring careful attention to each technical step.

The guidance notes that mistakes such as failed uploads, incorrect formatting or skipped requirements can cause a bid to be rejected before it is considered. Companies are being encouraged to build confidence by learning how procurement platforms work in practice and by reviewing every document before final submission.

The segment pointed to Trevon, a client who runs a solar equipment installation company. He initially attempted to manage the process without help, but his submissions kept running into upload problems. After Trevon and his team practised the process and received expert instruction, their new method removed the repeated errors and reduced the stress around submitting bids.
